My Name is Ben Jones and I am 20 years old from Moana in South Australia.
I’ve been surfing for about 10 years now and I enjoy it more and more every day. I started Longboarding around 4 years ago, the waves around home are more suited for the longboard compared to the short board but I still love to ride my short board just not competitively.
As far as competition results go ive had a few good ones. In 2011, I entered my first interstate competition the Noosa Festival of Surfing and came away with a 2nd in the Open mens AM and 3rd in the juniors also in 2010 I took out my first state title as an under 18. In 2012 I won my first Open State title which has been my goal since I started longboarding so I was stoked with that. In 2013 I had my best result so far in the Australian Surf Titles coming away from that event with a 5th in the Open Men.
My goals as of now are to keep competing around home and interstate with hope of achieving some wins.
